When I was young (my elementary days), I always thought of Vitamin water as the worse but more healthy version of Gatorade. I still don't know if that's true or not. All I know is that even though Vitamin water clearly has the word Vitamin in it, which is a healthy supplement, it isn't that healthy. Like Gatorade it's the kind of drink that passes through your body very quickly.
I always preferred Gatorade and even sometimes Powerade over Vitamin water. That's not the case now.
I think it was all because of quarantine. My dad bought a big box full of Vitamin water because it was super cheap. I remember that that first box was orange flavored. It wasn't the best flavor, but for some reason I couldn't stop drinking it.
I finished a 24 bottle box within a week. I thought that was it. That was my little experience with Vitamin water. Little did I know that my dad had already ordered 3 similar boxes and kept them in the garage. The second flavor that I drank was some kind of cherry flavor. It was countless times better than the orange, but I didn't drink as much. Using my skills of deduction, I deduced that drinking around 6 bottles of Vitamin water along with my regular amount of water wasn't that healthy. I cut to only drinking 1 or 2 bottles a day. That worked out pretty well.
After the cherry flavor went out, it was replaced with a pomegranate flavored. They are very similar colors. I mistook the pomegranate for the cherry, and immediately realized when I drank it. It was definitely worse, but it still tasted good.
These cycles went on, except for orange was no longer in the loop. It cycled between cherry and pomegranate.
There was a one-month period where I didn't drink any vitamin water because it had gone off sale, but now I'm drinking it again. The flavor? Pomegranate.
