Yesterday i cooked some chicken. I wasn't quite sure how to season it, so I just used whatever I thought smelled good. Of course as the basics I sprinkled salt and pepper on both sides. I also decided to sprinkle some sugar in. I thought that a sort of sweet chicken would be a good idea. Then I spread five spice powder over the chicken. I'm not sure if this powder is only exclusive to asians or if it's a universal spice, like salt. Either way, it tastes good, so I added it on my chicken. I added some tarragon, because I remembered it tasted from good a previous dish. I didn't know how it would turn out on chicken, but I was having fun, so I sprinkled some on. Lastly I spread honey on. I was adding to the idea of making the chicken sort of sweet. I also imagined the honey kind of "caramelizing" and making the chicken crisp. It didn't do the latter unfortunately. I cooked it for what I thought was a good while, but when I cut in I saw a hint of pink. I learned that raw chicken is a lot worse than any other raw meat, well I mean cows and pigs. After seeing the hint of pink, I put it back in the pan.
The chicken was cooked well, and it was seasoned well. One thing I learned was that I could afford to have it slightly sweeter.
All in all it was a good dish, and I look forward to correcting my mistakes next time.
