I say this title as if I have answers to share with you, but in reality, I don't.
I don't really know what to do know in quarantine. I've spent a lot of time making food. My creations have varied from cooked chicken to eggs benedict to baking cake. My creations have tasted really good
and I enjoyed the process. Because most of my creations were successes, I naturally was adjusted to the idea that as long as I stick to the recipe, it will go good.
I applied that idea when I made sauce for steak. The first sauce I made was Bordelaise. I can't say it was a success, nor could I say it was a familiar. It tasted good, but it was more of a liquid than it was an actual sauce. I tried making sauce again, but I made Bearnaise this time.
We didn't have many of the ingredients, and because I was too lazy to go out shopping, I used substitutes. Instead of using fresh parsley leaves, I used tarragon spice. Looking back at it now, that wasn't a good idea. The website that told me tarragon could be used as a substitute was most likely referring to tarragon that was still in it's plant form. I used tarragon sauce instead, and I did not add enough. My supply of white wine vinegar ran out, so I used Chinese black vinegar instead. I should've stopped making this sauce at this point, but I still worked on. I now know that Chinese black vinegar does not substitute well for white wine vinegar. I should've realized it earlier, but for some unknown reason, I didn't. It did not go as planned, and my sauce didn't work. Because most of the sauce was butter, my family started using the sauce as oil.
I've also been playing basketball daily, as well as going on walks. Not only is it for exercising, but I need to for a basketball team related assignment. Basketball will most likely never be not fun for me. I've played it since I was little, and I still enjoy playing it. I play basketball each day for at least 1 hour, but it still doesn't fill up a big chunk of my day.
Then I have school homework. This takes up a big part of my time. Although we have online school, the teachers at my school seem to have mistaken it for regular school. The homework load that is assigned to the homework is no different than the load assigned before quarantine.
There is an indescribable feeling. I no longer feel it, as I have acquainted to the quarantine schedule. Because I usually have a before-school activity, I am comfortable with waking up at 6:30 each day. But now that there is no school, I naturally wake up at 9:00. Sometimes I have my first class while I'm still in bed. It all feels like a dream. I have tried simulating school by myself, but this time I get the assistance of the school district. There even are tutorial times.
I seem to have strayed off topic, let's try to fix that.
The last thing I do to fill up time during quarantine is talk to my friends. I've talked about this before, so I won't go into detail. I talk with them over social media and video platforms. Not having conversation like I did during school feels weird, and I need to talk to some people to fill up that hole.
That's it for today.
Because I have more time, thanks to the quarantine, I'll try to post blogs every day. I may run out of ideas to write about. Just today, as I was sitting at my desk, I was struggling to think of a subject to write about, until I thought of this idea to share what I'm doing over quarantine.
Although I virtually have no regular viewers, I'll still say this: Thanks for taking your time to read this blog submission, and I hope you'll read my next blog submission.

Apparently the "familiar" gives you more thoughts to share. :)
