Coronavirus trends

Hi, today I'll just be talking about the latest COVID-19 trends and my opinions towards them. As you can see in the graph above, the rate of transmission of COVID-19 is still steady.
Just on Friday alone, over a 100 thousand new cases were diagnosed, and 6 thousand people died of COVID-19 related causes.
You can also see on the graph on the right, the amount of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the USA spiked, surpassing cases in Spain and Italy, which  had been heavily affected by COVID-19 weeks before the USA saw high transmission rates.
I believe this happened because the USA did not see this as a threat, and did not act accordingly. I live in Washington. Washington was residency to the first COVID-19 positive person in the USA. It became one of the hotspots of COVID-19 within the USA. It was even referred to sometimes as "the Wuhan of the USA".
Even when neighboring school districts were closing, and COVID-19 began transmitting at an increasing rate, my school district didn't close. This may sound harsh, and I mean it in the nicest way, but they put education before safety. They were faced with a dilemma of course. If there was no school, some kids without access to internet at home would have no chance to participate in school activities. Parents would have to stay home to supervise their child, or have someone else do that. These parents who have to stay home may be of an essential workforce. The other side was to try to reduce the rate of transmission as much as possible.
The schools should've realized that reducing the transmission of COVID-19 was the most important factor at hand. I tried emailing the school district, giving facts about COVID-19. I tried to convince them that the best thing to do is to close down the school district for now, despite all the harms it might cost. I never knew what eyes laid on my paper, and I never will. All I know is that the message I sent had no effect on the school district's choice. Relative to the rest of the country, my school district was one of the first to close.
Our president even referred to it as the "Chinese virus"
The USA didn't handle COVID-19 well PR-wise either. The USA didn't demand full quarantine until later. Even know, there are still people who aren't taking it seriously. Yesterday I went on a jog. I went by myself and I avoided everyone on the cross walk by moving towards the opposite side. I stopped at a dog park, and I saw a group of families talking with their dogs running around. I wondered why these people were grouping together. The point of quarantine wasn't to visit your friends, but to stay away. It was to reduce the rate of transmission. Theoretically, if everybody did abide with the rules of quarantine, the rates of transmission would decline to 0 really fast, as COVID-19 would only travel within each family. But of course people still need to shop. More frighteningly, people still want to hang out with each other.
I was on a call with my friend the other day. He asked me if I have been seeing my friends. I told him that I haven't, as I shouldn't leave the house. I said that I've been keeping in contact with my friends from video and social media platforms. He told me that he'd been hanging out with friends frequently. When I told him that what he was doing wasn't wise, he simply said he didn't care. He's one of many people in the United States who don't care about the rules of quarantine, and don't care about the goal of it.
People in Florida are protesting their rights. Towns are even starting to re-open because people believe it is their right. It is their right, but they must realize that what they are doing isn't smart. But there's no point in trying to convince them to do otherwise. Just as there is no way to prove to anti-vaxers that vaccines actually work, and to flat-earthers that the Earth is really round.

Being Short

Being short sucks doesn't it? Every time you talk to your peers you have to look up. It hurts the neck. Doesn't it suck walking through a bunch of people and only seeing the back of the person in front of you, not what's up ahead?  Don't you hate it when you really like to play basketball but you're short, making it so that you can't get some rebounds or shoot some shots that you could make if you were taller? You have to take more effort on getting space between you and the defender when you could just shoot the ball from wherever if you were taller.  Being tall gives you more confidence. You can appear more attractive. By social norms, the boyfriend should be taller than the girlfriend. That kind of sucks, because when you're short there are very few that are shorter than you. That's my rant! I am Albert Einstein.

Muscles and Working Out

I am seriously at a lack of ideas for blog-writing. So today, I'll talk about something I have only started doing, working out. I gotta say, working out consistently has been one of my long-time goals. I remember last summer I started working out everyday, but that only lasted for 11 days. It was interrupted because I had to go to a camp. After that, I never found the determination to start working out. I would suddenly work out one day but those days only came once a month, maybe even less. One of these days happened during quarantine. But it wasn't like the others. I kept working out. I don't know why I kept a routine on during quarantine but not during any other time. Perhaps it was because online school gave me a lot more time to do things I wanted to do. Either way, I started working out. I adjusted my work out based on things that I saw on youtube. For the first month I only focused on upper body. Only now am I starting to do lower body. Of course during this time...

Current Stuff

Some interesting stuff has happened recently. Mainly one. There's a teen in Kenosha, Wisconsin. More accurately, he drove to Kenosha Wisconsin, then proceeded to shoot and kill two BLM protesters. Here's what happened, based on what I know. He drove over from his house with an assault rifle. He was treated as a friend by police and was given water, probably because he was one of the few who actually supported them there. They saw him with an assault rifle. He then killed two people. The police of course heard this, but didn't act on it. He then walked back into his car and drove home. Now he's facing charges and a ton of backlash. I know this will also impact his college. What I just don't know is how people are supporting someone like this. His name is Kyle Rittenhouse. He wasn't even defending himself. He doesn't live there. He drove in from his own house to  Kenosha and shot two people. Tucker Carlson and Steven Crowder have actively defended him. Carl...
